Natalie Day, online homeschool and test prep tutor
About Natalie

A tutor who teaches the student — not just the assignment

I tutor because the right explanation can change how a student sees an entire subject. My goal is to replace guessing and frustration with a clear process students can use on their own.

I’ve taught homeschool students through full years of curriculum, from foundational fractions through algebra and college entrance exams. That continuity lets me see what a student knows, where the gaps are, and what should come next.

Every lesson is one-on-one and shaped around the student in front of me. Parents receive an update after every session, so you always know what we covered, what clicked, and where we’re going next.

How I Think About Curriculum

Your materials are the starting point

I work inside the curriculum your family chose, while adapting the pacing and explanations to your student. I use gradual release — I do, we do, you do — so support turns into independence.

Background

Teaching experience and academic rigor

I bring 700+ hours of one-on-one tutoring, experience with 90+ families, a finance degree with a 4.0 GPA from BYU Marriott, and firsthand test expertise from earning a 1520 SAT and ACT section scores of 35 English, 34 Math, and 34 Reading.

Curriculum-Compatible Support

I work inside your curriculum

Saxon · Math-U-See · Beast Academy · Singapore · Math Mammoth · The Good and the Beautiful · Abeka · Fix It! Grammar · Easy Grammar

Using something else? That’s fine — send me the table of contents and I’ll build around it.
